Stimuli received through touch evoke a wide range of sensations in people. Through touch, we recognize shapes and surfaces and associate them with objects, feelings, and moods. But what happens when the communication between human skin and its environment is interrupted? This loss draws attention to the ability to feel and makes us aware of its importance. This process is illustrated in the collection Sensory. The resulting communication between outerwear, underwear, and artistic elements leads to an engagement with the active perception of human touch sensitivity.
